Tim Newbold from University College London will be conducting a session on biodiversity, which areas of the world are seeing the most changes, and why it matters for human societies. He will also talk about his path into science, from an interest in wildlife as a child, through field sampling of biodiversity in Egypt, to now analysing big data on tens of thousands of animal and plant species all over the world.
