October 15th, 9-10am - EA Special Educational Needs Awareness Training
This session is for all EAs, not just those working with special schools. It is a collaborative event being run by all LEPs within the Thames Valley region. We will look at how to understand, work with and support students with additional needs. Jenny Connick from Talentino, Maurice George from Brooklands School and Tom Cliffe from Track will lead the discussion.
Why should you attend? – Every child is entitled to be well educated about future career opportunities whilst at school, to enable them to make informed decisions about next steps, and reach their potential. Whether you support a Special Education Needs and Disabilities (SEND) School or a mainstream school or college, it is important that all students are able to access this information in a relatable way. This session will give you some of the knowledge and tools to be able to support your Careers Leaders when building their careers plans and activities to ensure that they are fully inclusive and meet the different needs of all their students.
